Learn the ancient art of coiling with pine needles
No classes scheduled at this time

During the Covid pandemic, I am available for individual instruction via zoom for pine needles baskets. We can discuss what you want to learn. I have many different styles of bases that you can choose to coil on. In addition to pine needles I have some grasses and other materials to use. When you have selected, I will send you the materials. Then we can schedule a time to zoom that is convenient for you. Price will depend on what you select to do.
The way it was before -- hope to get back here soon!
In one day you can try out coiling with pine needles by making a small hanging piece. $40.00 includes materials for one piece.

Come both days to make a small basket. We use long leaf pine needles from the southern coastal regions that have been treated with glycerin; so are softer, flexible and glistening. You will have a choice of several different types of bases - wooden cut out, oyster shell, resin or ceramic. I will demonstrate several stitches and you can incorporate beads or wrapped sections to make a unique basket. This 6 hour class is usually long enough to complete a small basket. If you are unable to finish during class time, I will make sure you know how to finish at home and have the supplies you will need. Cost is $80.00 and includes materials for one basket.
Class size limited to 5 people.
